it looks sweet, but since capcom spending so much time on the open world aspect, i'm worried that its gonna have like 10 monsters total, probably less than tri had. thoughts?

This is probably correct. And because all selected Monsters will have to be able to fit into and live in these probably limited Open World maps I can guarantee they're all going to be generic Dinosaurs.

Capcom already confirmed the game will have several large areas, factor in 7-10 monsters per area and you still hit the 40's

I want to get PS4 version because I want to jump in right away but I also want to play MH in 60fps.

i'm thinking the exact opposite. They show 3 Monsters alone in the first map just as invaders, not actual hunts. There will probably be more big monster hunts, and we haven't even seen the snow/desert/volcano maps yet

Realistically we might 4, with a Desert area. But I'm not gonna lie I think this game is gonna be all aesthetics and no content. It's gonna have decently sized maps, but once you've seen the areas, it's gonna feel like a much smaller map connected by a million corridors. It's gonna be a mess.

Devs have said they are keeping the core monster hunter gameplay formula we've come to love and are treating this as the next mainline MH, they mearly decided to change the name to World cause it would encourage new players to jump into the game (as opposed to it being called MH5)

There is a line where certain changes are QoL added but feel like downright dumbing down the game and certain moves in the moveset are basically XX's styles/HA being appropiated. This "changelog" will be complete once we have the game in the wild so people can choose if the game is still for them or not. Therefore it boils into what are the limits of your MH autism, would you reeeee like some did with swimming/mounting/HA? If you are cool with changes then don't worry about them and keep expectations
