Bald Space Marines makes usually the most sense. Like if you're a fighter, you won't have long flowing hair or anything impractical like that. The point being so that the player can immerse themselves as much as possible. Same philosophy why every boxer/mma guy either has stupidly short hair or is bald, also military's that way as well.
