2. It's an unpopular opinion here, but I thought Half-life two was perhaps the best source game released.

I really wonder where this came from. Didn't see this sentiment at all just a few years ago, and now suddenly there are huge youtube videos all about how HL2 is trash.

Almost feels like I slipped into a different timeline where HL2 really was bad, when it's arguably a better game in so many aspects.

The overall tone of HL2 is...weird. I feel like the characters don't react to things nearly as seriously as real people would. It's borderline comedic. 1 didn't have that problem because most people were generic scientists who would end up dying horribly in a matter of seconds. 2 is better in most other ways though.

Half-Life 2 is okay, but 1 is better. They're both only slightly above average, though.
