Both have you discover more and more of a vast and beautiful world as you bond with your party and form a social network of connectiosn around the planet

But they hand the last third of the story differently

one:

>Everything that was built and discovered crumbles. Cities are destroyed, beloved characters die, the world starts feeling empty

>Begins to feel cozier and cozier and as you visit each place one las ttime to do sidequests and shit you get a warm nostalgia from remembering when you first arrived
