I dont enjoy dark souls anymore. I've played it too many times, and I cant bring myself to continue after anal rodeo, and that makes me sad.

Once the challenge has been mastered, and it becomes tedious, you have to leave the game for a decade before you can enjoy it again.

All it takes is learning the controles and getting comfortable using them along with understanding how the game works, after that you will feel like you know what you're doing. I do not know how much you suck tho. But generally people get good after the first main area and can truly feel that its only their own fault when they die which is satisfying.

All I can say is I tried "Lords of the Fallen" and got my ass kicked and gave up (too soon probably) - also I hated the art style of that game so I decided to quit.

It's not really about difficulty, just learn after you die and you'll do fine.

Don't run in and do the same thing over and over. That's the main reason people complain about this game, sure there are some legitimate critisisms but usually It's just people butthurt they didn't have good reflexes or did the wrong thing.

Don't be afraid to look at a guide if you're having trouble, I wouldn't recommend it if you were good at vidya but If you say you aren't then just do it.

Realistically, I would honestly say it's the best game that's came out in the last 10 years. The difficulty is generally overstated, with the exception of one particular boss fight.

I can enjoy it, I usually finish it once a month in an entire sitting.

I run past everything, I enjoy the boss fights the most so I just fight the bosses and pick up the essential items like embers/fire keeper souls.

It's much more fun then going through every segment of the games, it sucks if you want to try different builds though.

Lotf sucks imo, i kinda like the graphics and it was fun for a few hours but then you understand that clunk and what it tries to do with the story is just not right. And its not even close as fun as dark souls or good in most aspects. Give Dark souls 1 a go and see if you like it, but if you do, give it a real chance, many many give it 1 or 2 tries and then come back years later and say wtf have i been doing all these years.

I feel ya, what really did it for me was playing bloodborne, i dont own ps4 or the game but i borrowed both and honestly it gave me exactly what i wanted to expirience after feeling i will never get that i feel i got when playing ds1 first time. I played ds3 before bb and it didnt give me that feel ds1 gave me, just so its clear.
