What ending did you pick, /v/?
I went with Tracer. Blowing shit up was more satisfying.
Dance party every time.

Illuminati is the only one where mankind has relative freedom
Helios is true ending.
sociopath alpha tier - voltaire
alright guy - milton
cuck man 9000 - gibran
>>384167271
Living under the thumb of a conspiratorial autocracy isn't my idea of freedom.
>>384167271
Depends on your view of Denton. He's a relatively normal person besides his training as a government agent, and he'd probably be sympathetic to the plight of the average man, and with the power of Helios he'd be able to enforce just rule over the globe.
Even then, both Illuminati and Helios are better than trying to destroy the world.
>>384167756
And? what other choice do we have?
without the guiding hand of the Illuminati we are doomed in proverbial chaos!
like it or not but many of the inventions we have today are because of the elite
>>384168161
>what other choice do we have?
Helios.
>>384168507
how is living under a supreme god any different then some faggoy shadow organisation
>>384168794
You can actually trust the supreme god, for one.
>>384168959
no you can't
>god floods earth just cos
>DUDE JUST KILL UR SON LOL
>dont LOOK BEHIND U LOL 2 late ur salt now
>>384168794
The thing is that you already do not have absolute choice. Much of your life is automated to your convenience which enables for you new choices and liberties that you couldn't have in a more natural society. Depending on how things went, the Helios ran society might work in such a way that all of the most crucial or difficult parts of life are automated away and you are left with the ability to choose the more desirable options such as how you would like to spend your personal time or what career you would like to engage in. The badly accented Australian at the bar had a point.
>>384169228
Yeah, well, this isn't the Biblical God, this is just a really advanced AI. One that's merged with a human being.
>>384169412
there's no different between god and really advance ai
>>384169228
Sort yourself out
>>384169889
i frequently watch his lectures
which is what im basing this off of
>>384170070
Nice.
>>384170186
the way i see it
god is nice and all and gives us the much needed morals because without them humans become mega degenerates
but since certain amoral humans declared that god is dead
the only logical route is every man for himself and the devil take the hindmost
>>384167658
They're all the true ending according to IW.
>>384167271
that would be tongs ending.
>>384166890
What is the bottom left even meant to be
>>384171121
Which is stupid
>game came out in 1998s
>twin towers were removed because terrorist attack
>riots in paris
haha
nothing else came true right?
>>384171380
...do you really not know about the secret ending?
>>384171461
it came out in 2000
>>384167271
no they are no better than MJ12, no matter what righteous words or means they strive to use
>>384171395
I thought it was brilliant given that everyone consistantly savescums at the end of Deus Ex to see all the endings.
>>384171508
Is this a joke?
>>384171589
yeah but games like these were in the works for a while
>>384166890
I quit when I ran into the grey aliens because the game was clearly shit.
>>384171315
Tong's ending has the least relative freedom
>all the comms are down
>most technology rendered useless
>those who depended on the technology are now entirely subject to the whims of the luddites
>society reverts to feudalism because the few strong will dominate
Given the choice between a semi-benevolent shadow organization that lets me continue living a relatively free life and a return to feudalism, I'll take the former. Most people who choose the latter have delusions that they'd be part of the ruling class.
Not sure how becoming a techno-god has anything to do with left wing authoritarianism
>>384171315
Being forced to live like a caveman because some asshole decided to destroy all technology isn't freedom.
>>384171687
if you kept playing you'd have found out thatthose aren't aliens
>>384171752
>the enforcement or advocacy of strict obedience to authority at the expense of personal freedom
if helios picks you to be a chef because you know how to heat up chicken tendies the best you don't have a choice in the matter
>>384171708
enjoy being exterminated by the nigger iluminati, you globalist shill.
>>384171893
Enjoy getting exterminated by the niggers next door, since your home security runs on the internet.
>>384171708
I don't think the point was physical individual freedom, it was an attempt to build a world the individual could understand again. He was merely trying to ensure Humans remained in control of human affairs, instead of a bureaucracy or AI.
>>384171965
There are no niggers next door. My home security runs on locks and keys.
>>384171816
I mean I figured they were genetic experiments or something, but it just seemed like it was something thrown in at the last minute. It was enough for me to question why I cared about anything happening in the game.
>>384172114
you got all the way to hong kong and an "alien" in a genetics lab is what put you off?
>>384172114
>I quit playing Deus Ex
What a shame.
>>384172664
*tsk*
>>384171380
Hidden Dance Party ending.
>>384171708
Without the state, guess who's going to fill the power vacuum? That's right, the second-most powerful entities. That means corporations, that means LARGE CRIME SYNDICATES. And guess who just united two already-large crime syndicates into one even larger crime syndicate? That's right, Tong played people who chose his ending like a damn fiddle. If you ally with him unironically, you're a fucking chump.
>>384171893
>the Helios ending doesn't exist
>>384172451
I got all the way to area 51; I just realized that it wasn'tentertaining.
