Red Switches or Blue Switches /v/?

Neither, they're both loud an obnoxious
>>
I like the sound of my gateron blues. Makes my sister annoyed, though.
>>
Brown.

brown
>>
>>384158428
The point of red switches is they aren't loud dude.

I'm using blue switches, because I do a lot more typing than I do gaming on a keyboard. Most of the games I play use a gamepad of some sort anyway.

>>384158249

>>
>>384158428

Brown when youre working with someone, blue in home (unless you want/need more quiet keyboard, then brown again).
>>
I like my blues, nice to type on. They are loud though, which is nice for typing, but you may need to get used to it for quieter games.
>>
>>384158654
That's basically what I did with a selection of gaming keyboards on display at GAME.
After trying a few out, I decided on the HyperX Alloy FPS.
Despite the name, it's a blue switch intended for typing rather than gaming, but it comes in red and brown too.
>>
>>384158249
I like my blue switches but they are loud as fuck, but I tried a friend's red switches and they felt mushy as fuck. Is there a switch that has the feel of the Blue but with less noise ?
>>
>>384158880

Red are shit, using it only for gaming is bullshit and for writing they feel just wrong.
>>
Rubber domes are superior for gaming. I find reds and linears in general to be fucking boring. The more tactile the better. I also like really quiet switches though, so don't know what to do about that.

>>384158631 here,
I bought the MK Fission RGB, I've owned a green switch Shine 3 in the past, and a brown switch RK9000, Clears are where its at.
Slightly old pic
>>
Do browns really feel mushy and shitty like they say? I like my blues, but would probably want something quieter next time. It's music to my ears when typing and fine in loud games like BF1, but even though I've gotten mostly used to it, it's still a little weird hearing that loud as click once in a while in a quiet game where you're not making a lot of inputs.

I have red switches, and I don't like them much. They're loud and mushy. I fuck up typing a lot because the keys are so sensitive.
>>
>>384162339
i had no idea what i was buying since i'm a comp illiterate. i got it for 200 eurobucks with the void wireless headset and the m65
>>
>>384162843
The switches are Cherry MX so you're good, the problem is apart from customization part of the hobby for someone who's likely to be "grading" keyboards, but also that the keys are likely a lower type of quality plastic that can lead to the plastic becoming shiny and because of the non-standard layout that corsair uses you won't be able to replace your bottom row without paying out the ass for something custom.

But the mechanical part is solid

I personally settled with blue, it was my first mechanical keyboard and when I thought mechanical I thought the loud and clicky feel of blues.
It's a dear to type with but the added force takes a tiny bit to het used to, but for games I think it was beneficial.
With the extra force needed it makes each keystroke feel more deliberate, like I have to put more confidence into it and be more aware if that makes any sense.

I like my cherry mx browns.
