Each class has their own beginning and reasons for getting involved in the main story, and throughout the main story they get side quests pertaining to them personally.

Techie appeals to me but Corporate and Media sound more interesting. Hopefully they all have very distinct playstyles and aren't all forced to run&gun through half the game.

I agree with him for the most part but there are glimpses here and there in the newer Deus Ex games where this takes place, elevating the experience as a whole. Look at Hengsha and the Harvesters for example. The idea that a criminal group has resorted to making a living through harvesting augmentations and selling them off shows how tech like this has become commonplace and part of ordinary life.
