Most of those spells on the right are so broken they shouldn't be included in the first place. The only exception being Gate, which is a joke spell.

I haven't played PoE but if the overall setting is less powerful than near epic level D&D stuff, there's nothing really wrong with it.

Also you missed a joke about how Wilting Wind is just Abi-Dalzim's Horrid Wilting with a dumb status effect tacked on..

Not many games get to the point of epic level D&D.

Its simply like they are afraid to make magic a tiny bit harder to understand and use and just homogenize it with all the other abilities in the game, just with more sparkly effects.

Divinity OS was the same ... but at least you had the environment interaction with spells.

I really wish they would scale better for late game. It sucks that attack speed bonuses do nothing to reload speed.

Just take a look at all the games being made past 2012 on all consoles. Games that require actual thinking often face terrible scores for obvious reasons

Low Magic Age uses spells and rules from D&D, but it's in development and the feeling is not the same as in the old cRPGs.
