I'm an S myself, and when you are an S, if you happen to be doing particularly well that session, The matchmaking will balance teams with the successful S on one team, along with ranks below S (whatever they might be) against other, higher ranks on the other team.

The only explaination for this i can come up with is that the matchmaking looks at the records thinks the successful S can carry. THIS IS NOT THE CASE.

Its happened several times to me. Makes for fun stuff getting camped at port mackerel or urchin, or getting locked out at saltspray... etc.
