I played the demo but it honestly seemed boring as shit outside of the villager interactions. Does it get any deeper or do they at least lay on the charm with character interactions and shit?

The dungeons are brain dead easy and there's not many of them. The combat is boring and tedious. There's nothing to do in your oasis except stock booths.

It has all the fundamentals to be a good game, but it's too easy and extremely light on content. Get rune factory 4 or fantasy life instead

Each is unique. You can also bring any of them along to fight, and they each have their own special skills.

The combat has been fun so far. I mean, in the end this is a game kids are supposed to be able to play, so it's not going to be crazy hard, but it's not dead easy (you can always up difficultly by bringing shit villagers)
