Has there actually been another good open world design other than Gothic 2?

I actually really enjoyed the way Two Worlds set its world map out, with the constant shifting between horizontal and vertical stretches, geographical types, and getting anywhere high allowed you to see the entire landscape.
It was a very nice map.
and by good open world I mean world that's not empty, and has actuall shit to explore in it and is handcrafted rather than made with a brush
