I disagree completely with this graph. You pretty much start at the bottom and if you can manage to stomach the game for the first couple hours it rockets out of shitville into an actual game, until you reach Gran Soren I don't think anyone could disagree that the game is fucking terrible and that's why it doesn't have as many fans as it should, because a lot of people just never make it past the fucking horrible intro. And BBI is definitely way more fun than Everfall, on both runthroughs.

I wish the game did a better job of explaining that Bitterblack is the final end game dungeon. I did it prior to everfall and ended up being absurdly overpowered as a result. Everfall ended up just being boring because of it.

bbi was terrible. you can't see shit, health sponge enemies everywhere, rng lottery loot box system. bbi really highlighted how terrible and shallow dd's fighting system is. it's just button mashing. there's no real mechanics except the climbing gimmick that's 100% useless everywhere

I had fun from the get go so I don't know what your problem is
I jumped in with no expectations, only thing I could say is the amount you learn at the start is a little much but it's basic to get to grasps with so you can get on with the game

only thing that was jarring at first was the tutorial and then starting the game properly
I spent ages just looking around the village and having a good time
People say the game's main map is bland but I guess the people who say that just haven't ever left the city; I fucking loved walking along the Gransy's plains and coast

I say this in every thread, but my fondest memory was doing an escort quest for the priest to take him to the coast and I got into a fight with the golem
In real life, I probably spent a solid 40 minutes fighting the thing; in game the fight went through mid-day, all night up until dawn
It was such a great feeling, even if I spent the longest time ever trying to hit the medal on the foot after breaking the one on the head first, like a fool

yes, strider is fun. At higher vocation levels. The problem with DD is the low level vocations are shit, they should start with the skillset of at least level 3-4 vocation and go from there, level 1 just has nothing and that's what you have at the start of the game when most people are most likely to drop the game before they get to the good shit. plebs have no patience, and they generate a lot of sales in gaming.

Sorcerer, ranger and strider are really great at dealing damage, mage is for support and fighters can become invincible with perfect blocks. Only warriors don't do that well, especially with charged attacks.

Magic Archer is probably best, Ricochet Hunter and Sixfold Bolt do really well in BBI since only one thing resist Ice (Dire Wyrm) and a lot of the maps are cramped hallways with Ricochet Hunter can do the most damage.

Mage is fine as a starting class. In many ways they actually have the easiest time starting out, assuming you actually pick up on what element is good against what. The basic fireballs pretty much incapacitate goblins, wolves and harpies. Lighting totally shuts down cyclops and even that dumb ice mist totally fucks over saurians. Mix in the fact that even blind/silence are hella useful and even low level mage play is pretty fun.

Stop picking up items in the middle of fights.
Learn how to properly manipulate inclinations. The first 4 matters, although only the first 3 are visible. Make sure Guardian and Aquisitor are beyond that.

how do I manipulate inclinations properly? My Mage is always changing her primary and secondary inclinations between Utilitarian, Medicant and Challenger. Utilitarian and Challenger I don't mind whether they are primary or secondary because it doesn't seem to affect her behavior so much, but if she happens to get Medicant she will never get a spell off because she interrupts any spells in order to heal me if I Drop below 99% health. Is there a way to lock inclinations?

You can't lock out other inclinations, you can just make them irrelevant enough that it would take a shitload of hours for them to become problematic again.

You gotta feed your pawn Elixir in a specific order. Feeding pawn only one type of Elixir won't work. The last Elixir you feed them will probably be the primary inclinations.

Is there a games similar to Dragons dogma? I really want to play more of it, but i did absolutely everything what is possible in this game.

BBI is literally cancer, with randomised T3 drops meaning you don't always get the equipment you need, combined with even more randomised skill allocation on said equipment.

But outside of that the game is pretty fun. Especially the early-mid game when you aren't really strong and a lot of the bigger enemies are a real challenge.
