HOW CAN THE PS4 STEAL OUR GRAPHICAL LIMELIGHT

I just started playing this game the other day. Thus far I'm not really sure what all the fuss is about. Combat and gameplay feels very similar to the Arkham series and Shadow of Mordor with a bit of Assassin's Creed thrown in. Plays well and runs really smooth, but pretty stockstandard. The story so far is okay, but not amazing. The protagonist is extremely boring and her voice actor is a pain in the ass and her autistic head bobbing while talking is really fucking annoying.

So, without spoilers, what exactly is all the fuss about? Is it just because games of this scale and graphics are fairly rare on consoles? Because of female protagonist? Because I really don't see why this game got 9/10s out the asshole when it was released.

This was before the DLCs started coming out.

Never did get around to building a proper arena. To be honest worst part of the game is settlement building BEYOND the one you live at. Sure the first 3 or 4 are fine, but soon there's like 8 settlements I have to put people in, fill with all the things to keep them happy, AND connect them to my main base so they get all the shit I dump into the workstation.

In Fallout 5, I'd prefer to keep the weapon/armor/Power Armor customization and crafting and leave the settlement crafting out, OR leave it to just a home base/house sorta thing.

Which SUCKS since the Minutemen are the most Aesthetic faction to me.

What a fucking mess of a game, it's like a frankenstein of patched together textures of varying qualities.

Most likely because the model/texture team went all out and because of that the game ran like complete shit on the PS4 obsolete hardware so the publishers told them to go back and scale back the most commonly found textures/meshes until they hit a specific performance envelope.
They do that shit all the time, and once they get the target performance they stop scaling things back, it's why you see some high res shit along side low res, they're too lazy to back and make everything consistent.

The best thing about L.A. Noire is that you could just continue playing it at 60+fps while taking a screenshot instead of interrupting the normal 20fps for Horizon, freezing the image, letting the GPU catch up, and then taking a screenshot before unfreezing the game before your hardware goes into auto standby to protect itself.

I just wish more games would use Gran Turismo's photo mode interface as a benchmark. It is one of the only photo modes that I know of that gives you the same controls as a real camera and actually understands what they mean.

The wallpaper peeling off, the pipes and the sink, overall higher geometry and higher detail textures compared to the more cartoony look of 1. I also happen to be playing 2 right now and have been through plenty of rooms that look very much like that.

En I like it but I liked the settings and plague type thing of the first one more. I also don't really like the story as much. I like the levels but I still haven't enjoyed any as much as Lady Boyles last party. The level design is better overall though but I'm only half way done.

there's an AMDshadowfix gfx pack floating around on the cemu discord. it was posted about 2 weeks ago. some guy tweaked it to the point where the bugged shadows and shadow acne are just about gone. it'll still pops out at certain times of the day, like dawn and dusk hours. You have to update the game to 1.3.0 for the gfx pack to work, for some odd reason. Mapleseed is almost an idiot-proof way to update games if you didn't know. there's some tutorials on youtube as well.
