the game controls and plays and looks like a 2000 indie title, performance is laughably bad even on the strongest consumer hardware available, the community is nothing but twitch squakers and the game is mostly walking around for 10 minutes finding weapons only to die to a stray shot the next minute, rinse repeat

It's safe to assume that you'll find likeminded people somewhere in there

Not really though, finding a weapon usually takes about half a minute if you don't drop on a single shack in the middle of nowhere
But yes, it's not 24/7 frantic action like an arena shooter or something

I have no friends and I find it enjoyable.
Solo/Duo/Squad are all playable.

Buy it and have a great time. I'll take an imperfect PUBG that gives me adrenaline rushes like nothing else over a polished streamlined AAA shooter any day.
