This fucking game man, I just beat Kaneshiro's palace and am about to do Futaba's palace and this shit is amazing. The only thing holding me back right now is the fact about maxing out confidants to get ultimate personas and perks in NG+ which I do intend to do. I doubt at my current progress I will be able to manage getting a majority of the confidants maxed out, did any find trying to max as many as possible to damper their experience and does anyone recommend I do it?

Sadly I got spoiled the week the game came out since I was excited to play it, I don't know all the ins and outs but I know the big villain twist and such. Wish I could forget.

Dude, the game wasn't designed to max out all confidants in one playthrough, the social stat stuff is pretty much there to avoid keep you from doing it. Its still possible, but extremely demanding as in you are 99% sure of already having fucked up, rending the task impossible.
If you want to play NG+ you might as well leave some confidents untouched so that you can finish the rest and have new stuff to look forward during your next playthrough.
