The only thing that fucks me up about DB is the snipers. In a game focused on movement, fast paced fighting, and a generally high TTK unless you score consecutive headshots, snipers feel like they're from another game entirely. Even if you catch them off-guard from range you can't win, and if they have half an idea of what they're doing they'll be behind their teammates and have ample warning if you try to flank them. A few in a game don't bother me, but I've had times where I boot up the game, see a sniper on free rotation, and immediately close the game.

No shit there's answers to them as a coordinated team, but most of the time I'm yelling myself hoarse just to convince people to get to the objective. It's just that they feel like an outlier, every other character except sniper characters mesh well with the core gameplay of "move fast and hit objectives"

Lucky you, I had to come back to Dirty Bomb because the GitS shooter is dead.

I really really liked it, but I guess Nexon pissed people off at some point. Not like I didn't expect it, but it still hurts to lose a game that's actually decent with a license I love.

Just tried a couple of matches, pretty fun but I feel like I was the only one actually trying to get the objective done.

I did, when it was still in beta (unless it still is, which wouldn't surprise me). You used to have to grind pretty hard just to be able to unlock a single merc. The way the boxes were set up was mostly fine, but the cash or whatever to buy mercs came in small supply and you were basically forced to do the shitty missions. And the missions were RNG and sometimes you get awful ones where you had to get X amount of support XP. This meant I had to spend the next 5 matches just tossing ammo out constantly instead of really focusing on the game. Also, there were only like 3 maps, and some were retardedly unbalanced.

Yeah you still have to grind, it's 50k per merc and single missions only give 500-1000. They made some of the missions less annoying but you still do get stuff like support XP, but that mission has never bothered me because I end up playing Medics 90% of the time anyway since no one else wants to.

The most frustrating part of the grind is the fact that you get next to no credits outside of missions, so if you don't have good missions or if you clear them, you're stuck waiting 3 hours before you can play again.

despite the fact that the amount of people try to tell it is pay to win, there is really not that big of a difference between "a perfect" loadout card and a not so much one. You start with skyhammer who is completely fine and aura who only needs 1 card with an smg and you're set for the rest of your life

About balance: look there are different mercs who play generaly differently. Perfect balance is unachivable. But there are roles that needs to be filled. And who cares that from the 15+ mercs there are 1 or 2 that a lil bit weaker or stronger.

I can assure you that you'll be dead not because they have "better" cards or mercs but because you're a noob shitter who won't and can't get better. Because FYI you'll be killed by gunfire and no cards enhance that...
