As much as I love this game, it does feel like a giant tech demo.

Every FF game since VII feels like a giant tech demo. A hastily written story with bad events and gameplay to justify cinematics and graphics.

Even the MMOs are these weird experimental "What if an MMO were to do THIS???" kind of games where they force a weird concept that doesn't work an then ask you to pay monthly to help them beta test it.
