lots of people will tell you it's better than V, but I personally think that IV encourages a lot of stupid shit like 50/50 vortex and wakeup dp being safe, as well as a heavy emphasis on difficult combos

SFV it's a literal guessing game. The game's so retarded that one of its strongest offensive tactics is to motherfucking shimmy for fuck's sake. And the combos are so high damaging yet so easy to pull off you end up losing 30% of your life on a single bad guess on wake up. And this is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to all the retardation in this game.

SFV is good for a scrub to get into and learn the basics of fighting games but once you get past the average level you'll rapidly realize why so many people hate this garbage game. SFV is living on its brand name alone at this point, just like Final Fantasy.

SFIV and SFV leagues apart. You can learn a characters and some matchups in a few days on SFV but it'll take weeks o SFIV since its mechanics are much more deep and complex. But the game's old. Around 300 people it on a daily basis online on PC and maybe slightly higher number on PS4.

It still introduced forced comeback mechanics. So it's just as shit. SFV is more shit though due to it launching with half the featureset removed, and a near systematic assassination of anything resembling anything except shoto characters.
