Well looks like you can manipulate teh turn order and each skill takes a certain time for the character to be on the turn order bar. so i'm guessing the bigger badder skills knock you all the way back. And something about Overdrives that probably increase your speed or placement on the bar. As well as something with team attacks and ultimates with reflections to get some special animation to finish off bosses.
