It's never worth it. The price goes up, but you never really get anything worth the price. Screen is usually worse, button placement is going to be the same regardless, it might even just be more uncomfortable to hold because of the shape/size.

Switch as it is is fine. You aren't meant to be playing it from far away (unless it's docked). It's a handheld, it's supposed to be pretty close to your face; and if you're playing some kind of 2p game, you'll just dock it, or more than likely just set up the screen close to you on a table/whatever. Like others said in this thread, I would imagine a Switch revision to be more like the VitaTV then make a dockless, smaller Switch.

Outside of being a challenge, it's reported that Nintendo is facing competition for parts with Apple and others. It would make more sense to do a home-focused revision that requires less resources.

Hell, if they make it small enough, they could do something like the NES mini to wear it's simple to carry and take it to a friend's house or another room.
