This was my first PS2 game. My mom bought it for me since I just finished reading the book series. I got it with the PS2 on my 8th birthday. I think she just grabbed it by happenstance since it was everywhere for the holidays. I even saw the movie with one of my friends.

All I can say is what a steaming pile of goblin shit. I pretty much suffered as a kid through the poorly designed gameplay segments, the scenes legit ripped from the movie, the terrible gameplay. Just because of the emotional attachment of it being the first game. I got R&C next thank god otherwise I might have quit games completely and just played little league or something

Experiencing a similar situation right now actually, but I'm torn. I can't tell if I'm bored cause I've replayed it SO many times as a kid, or if the levels are just boring. I definitely love the world and chill atmosphere but... it's a little jarring how there's so few enemies. And I feel like I'm cheesing the game way too often. Was F.L.U.D.D designed to be so broken? At the same time this can make some mussions fun in that you can approach them as you wish. Best example is a level in Noki Bay where you can skip the ENTIRE gimmick of the level with ease if you find the rocket nozzle.

Slightly related; I've played Dark Souls so many times I no longer have the desire to complete it.

I loved the shit out of it, but I just get bored after anal rodeo. also the frame rate is a shit on PC, and I just cant be patient anymore.

Really all the game had was challenge, and once it's mastered, there's no point in picking it back up for at least a decade.

I think when I was younger my imagination used to make random encounters feel more vivid.
Now it's just tedious when 90% of the encounters all require the same actions.
I think this is why I don't find SMT as tedious. The small act of trying to hit enemy weakness to gain press turns goes a long way.
