Does it hold up?

It holds up just fine. Strangely enough, Pandora Tomorrow has aged like shit despite having the same animations, graphics, and mechanics.

Chaos Theory is still the best stealth game ever made

it's a great game. Bonus points if the nostalgia is with you, and I guess the levels back then were pretty linear

but this game really had a soul, it's quite comfy especially those CIA (or FBI) levels

Holy fuck, exactly my thoughts when I played the original trilogy last month. 1 was mostly fine, but Pandora Tomorrow felt surprisingly shitty in many ways despite the fact that it's supposed to be almost identical game. Guess that it's the level design that annoyed me, can't imagine who decided that those jungle boobytraps or that long-ass Jerusalem street section would be good ideas.

Yes, i'd say it does. Gameplay is OK now but it holds. Completed it a few months back for the first time after completing it even more years ago on ps2. Had a blast.

Now the multiplayer was pretty revolutionary I suppose, ubi is weird like that. They'll come up with those completely fresh concepts of multiplayer and fuck up in other ways.

The two preceding games pretty much fade into nothingness compared to Chaos Theory, but the original is better than Pandora Tomorrow.
