I always wanted to play a game wherein your character got progressively weaker throughout the game.

You would start with a set of various equipment and abilities on a singular quest. Each obstacle you face might have a few solutions but some would be better than others, and expending one piece of kit (say something like a stick of dynamite) to make an early obstacle easy would hamper you greatly when you came to a later task that the used item was perfect for.

Getting through a task in a sub-par way might leave your character injured, hampering your physical abilities.

By the end, you're faced with your final foe and have to rely solely on what you have left.

MMO but your world gets populated by only like 30 random people at any one time, not including invited freinds, and running into them is completely by chance.
