He did everything wrong. This is just a brief moment of clarity at the realization that he's not a dark knight filled with righteous indignation towards a world that wronged him, but a petty despot who abandoned his people at the first taste of real power outside a godforsaken desert. He liked the power, he liked the cruelty. It's too late now, his only real "regret" is that he lost to the Hero of Time, not that his path was mistaken. These fucking kids screwed him over again. He couldn't even get the scraps and he breaks down moments after this.
