It's good but D:OS is significantly better

The two really are nothing alike. Combat and overall atmosphere are completely different. PoE is real-time with pause, not turn-based, and it's supah serious compared to D:OS's lighthearted tone

Because of crafting there is no reason to be excited about finding equipment, since you can craft everything by yourself
Writing is meh, trying to be quality but fails at it horribly.

Play PoE. It is a good game, it's just way different than D:OS. >>384023673 is hyperbolic, and just clearly didn't like his time with it. But I put 98 hours into it and loved it. I almost went blind over a week-long Winter binge in a dark room on it, couldn't read or see things clearly cause of how much I stared at that game.

This game is boring as fuck. Although it had other problems, they should have gone for a turn based approach, RTWP is cancer that should have died long ago. Sells out the potential for depth in the medium to try and get normalfags who can't deal with turn based games into it.

It's only fun on the highest difficulties because you have to put some thought to your character builds. On normal difficulty everything is a face roll and the game is not very fun.

I liked divinity much more. It had this light hearted tone but it rather felt like main characters were just trying to enjoy their time while they still could. I always felt like they will die at the end. PoE is just... kinda gray. I cant say its good, I cant say its bad but I cant say its mediocore either...

i wouldnt recommend buying early access, specially an early access RPG

PoE2 will add many elements from Divinity to its combat system, such as environmental damage, maybe PoE is worth getting in order to be prepared for the sequel
