Buu is probably one of the most unique characters I've seen done in a fighting game, and the fact that each super has different stuff (Gohan is like Iron Man's Protton Cannon, while Goku is like Ryu's Shin Hadouken, and Buu's explosion has superarmor) which also makes you actually focus on how to punish correctly your characters.

I feel the opposite. It looked kinda repetitive at first but the people doing well now i see different play styles. Cell players are zoning with the command throw and aerial air rip shit well using their normals better. Buus are still ungaing. Vegeta/Goku players are rushing people down better with different mixups. Frieza players are still a mess and alot of them are just doing random supers and only a few have psychic rock zoning/pressure.

Really the only one i haven't seen much more depth from yet is Gohan since most of them are just raw ass. The characters are all unique and it has so many mechanics i doubt its meta will end up stale or stiff.

Part of Vegeta's character is his jealousy toward Goku, a low class Saiyan, being stronger than him, and always being one step ahead of him. Thinking that Vegeta ever beat Goku just goes to show that you understand nothing of his character, which is a pity, cause he's probably the best written character. Vegeta always trained twice as hard a Goku, but was always surprised by how much stronger he was than him. He never managed to properly beat him.
