Probably because Skylanders is "on hiatus" and Spyro was never a major character, just a cameo more or less. He's not like the Pikachu-level mascot of Skylanders or anything, he didn't even get a figure in the last two games.

Also, adult collectors are not going to buy a 300 dollar statue of Skylander Spyro.
