Because even after you earn the trust of nearby rebels, you're supposed to liberate a town all by yourself.
Even if you earn the respect of the orcs and bring them the fucking info about where the rebels are hiding, they don't send a couple of guys with you.

Because every other Gothic game was trash before it, why should Gothic 3 have been good? Gothic games have always been the shitty, discount versions of TES games that achieved meme status among some Eastern European subhumans due to their NPC night-day cycle gimmick that actually had no impact on gameplay apart from making dealing with shopkeepers at night annoying as all fuck. Every other gameplay aspect was fucking dogshit: combat was literally a clicker minigame where dodging and blocking was completely unnecessary, as you could stop-attack your enemies into oblivion with the proper timing, exploration was complete trash due to the world being small as fuck compared to Morrowind, the lore was generic high fantasy garbage, the characters were uninspired cardboard cutouts and the story literally barely existed at all.

Good thing this dogshit franchise is dead, since the NPC cycle gimmick got old fast and it was literally the only thing these shitty gmaes had. When ELEX finally sinks what remains of this subhuman studio, the action RPG genre will finally be able to take a deep breath by virtue of not having to be associated with more Gothic trash.
