I came up with it yesterday, I call it 'Cosmic Contracting' or 'Cosmic Roofing'

It's a puzzle/arcade style game

plays a bit like geometry wars; you're on a geometric grid shape and you have to form combos with different tasks. You need to measure lengths of 'cosmic shingles' accurately, and effectively cover the shape without wasting/using too little cosmic shingles. It's very fast paced, and the best combos come from continuous sheets of cosmic shingles and not little patches.

different levels have different layers. for example, later levels may require you to peel off old cosmic shingles with appropriately charged laser blasts. Overcharge your shot and you singe the Cosmic roof, marginally decreasing your max combo potential.

i think it's a pretty sound game, honestly.

An open world survival game in a painstakingly detailed, like down to every plant tree and bush with detailed growth mechanics and weather patterns, hundred plus acre national park.

Bigfoot: Hunter or Hunted

You play as a Sasquatch, potentially the last of your kind, and you have to survive in the wilderness. You need a lot of food for your metabolism, so you can either pick berries like a bitch, hunt fluffy bunnies and deer, or steal pic-a-nic baskets. All actions come with consequences. If you go full herbivore, you'll have carnivores chasing you and be unable to defend yourself. If you go full carnivore, you may be spotted by woodland hunters. If you decide to be a thief, folks may snap pictures of you and you'll have scientist chasing you around.

It'd be one part San Andreas, one part Don't Starve, and combat would play out kinda like Assassins Creed.

Pangya reboot with some sort of level progression system to unlock characters and shit, actual competitive matchmaking with ranks and rewards, and some kind of daily quest system like dead by daylight

I've had this idea for a while ok? Hear me out.
So it's a porn game, right? No, listen, here's the catch: It's not NTR
>>
Action/Puzzle game. Play as a cockatrice and petrify enemies. Use their stone bodies as weights on switches, to fill in gaps so you can cross pits, or as cover against enemy attacks. Later enemies heal each other, block the player's attack, and even petrify the player.

Remake of JFK Reloaded in another engine with modding support
>>
>play as an aspiring necromancer
>start by claiming some abandoned tower
>slowly build it one floor at a time by gathering materials and spoils from raids, generating renown in both good and evil factions
>evil factions can give you quests and information, good factions seek your base and sabotage your progress both on global map and on your base
>protect your home from adventurers and optionally turn them into your servants post mortem
>be too cocky with your endgame and get your shit pushed in in form of an unwinnable siege battle for survival and get your legacy destroyed
>start ng+ as another aspiring mage in the ruins of the same destroyed tower with little mementos of your last playthrough
In essence, a simple DK clone with a better feeling of progression and more attachment to your base.

Good, one less faggot in the world.

Dying Light gameplay (melee combat and parkour but enemies can be sliced and diced easily) with Mad Max's post-apocalyptic atmosphere set place in Dubai. People are separated into factions and there are big ass sandstorms that block out sunlight. You can also scavenge for materials in buildings and ruins to make new weapons/ upgrades.

An openworld Clock Tower-style game set in medieval Berserk-like setting.
Story can be pilgrimage of a nun to some sort of holy place. Route is up to you, you can't really fight back well.
Also unique NPCs woth their own schedules and stories that can easily die, also sth similar to Pathologic.
>>
an early access roguelike(like) souls-inspired mmo game with survival elements and RPG mechanics
>>
A fantasy rpg/eugenics simulator. You play as an angel or a wizard or some kind of heroic "overseer", and the game takes place over like a thousand years. The focus is on growing an attachment to your party (which will age and die), and cultivating heroic lineages as you guide your heroes as you see fit. Lots of different options, like going full-tyrant or allowing your favorites to marry out of love. Though you start with humans, you could even match some of your heroes with powerful supernatural entities such as gods, faeries, demons or sorcerers, thereby gaining exceptionally powerful children. Something along the lines of Massive Chalice crossed with DA:O, I guess.

You've been reading Belgarath the Sorcerer, haven't you, you sly dog?

My game would have an SRPG-style interface with terrain modifiers and some indirect magic/environmental effects, but direct combat would all be settled in an early-Tales-of style fully controlled 2D combat screen. Lots of upgradability and unique class abilities you can assign to common fighting game commands (not just Down+B, but also Hadouken motions and such), as well as talents/perks that alter your basic combat style. Story would be mostly irrelevant but would have branching paths, multiple endings and options to go in-depth with any of the main factions.
>>
>>384010248
I like this idea. I had one similar based on the idea of an endless task.
it starts at a very low age of technology like we were just beginning to bend soft metals, and mythical creatures of that time are rampant and you're constantly thrown into battles with shit from mythologies. But as the years pass and the constant genocide of fairies and chimeras and dragons continue it's only a matter of time until only humans remain and all of your past glories are forgotten or passed of as stories.

An actual Majesty sequel.

>Actual cities with walls
>Can build all guilds and temples, yet never place opposite temples next to each other (bible war will be the least of your worries)
>Heroes will automatically band into groups of adventurers or you could edit them in the Inn on the fly instead of waiting for them to appear in it
>Heroes become more quirky and have additional elements that make them more unique from each other
>Heroes can even interact with other heroes and the subjects of your kingdom (so far as to even romance with others)
>Map divided into two parts (one is where you can build your kingdom freely and the other being the wilds/lands where there are a lot of monsters and shit that will come and enter your realm)
>All buildings can be upgraded to level 3 and upgraded guilds allow for more heroes of a specific type to be produced with each level, as well as unlock access to even more unique hero classes
>Heroes can have mounts (up to including small dragons)
>You can have actual soldiers that your heroes can recruit for their cause

>in ng+ the cycle starts anew, and after some terrible cataclysm you get a new thousand years heavily influenced by your past run; relics of a previous eon created by your predecessor only surviving in sagas and ancient ruins
>>
>>384008129
how to make that interesting in a SRPG? the fun of those games comes from managing the strategy/tactics of a small army, fighting another force. When it's just a group vs the boss, you simply surround and beat on him.

>you get to decide which society becomes the dominant culture
>traveling the world has different regions of enemies
>after each cataclysm you have relics based off old but superior artistry and each would be amazing in their own right like thors hammer or the spear of longinus
>first run would be with Hindus, second could be Russian
>>
>>384011290
Not that guy but one thing that has been criminally overlooked in SRPGs are bosses that take up multiple spaces on a board AND have each space have its own properties and requirements for weakening/destruction.

>Giant tentacle eye monster
>Have to position your melee at the bases of its limbs to cleave them off, otherwise it will just cover its eye with them whenever you try to attack it
>Mages soften the body with AoE magic
>Ranged plunks the fuck out of the eye whenever it's vulnerable
>>
>>384011290
Think designing around creating teams for fighting certain bosses with unique effects. I guess think MMO boss but you control everyone.
>>
A hack-and-slash game set in the Old West where you play as a samurai gunman
You can either level up gunslinging or Bushido proficiency, and a certain set of unlocked skills will let you combo between swordplay and shooting
Combos would take inspiration from the Max Payne Kung Fu mod and Masamune Date's combos from Samurai Warriors, although you'd still need to reload instead of shooting indefinitely
Bonus point for branching storylines and different endings
>>
>>384011290
TRPGS have been doing the "turn-based raid boss" thing for a while, and it's worked pretty well. In most systems it's almost completely impossible to control the movement of something like a colossus or an elder dragon, as they can easily trample smaller units. Not to mention the boss usually has multiple extremely powerful abilities that can force vast swathes of enemy units to choose between certain courses of action or instant death/incapacitated state. There are lots of ways to make dog-piling something an extremely bad idea.

Set in the world of A Song of Ice and Fire
