DKC 2 is a masterpiece, DKC is a classic and DKC 3 is trash.

this applies to the souls series in more ways than one

if you consider it one continuous series then yeah
DaS > DeS > DS2

but it also works in context of the the Dark Souls games exlusviely. Without DeS as a factor, DS2 is the better game than Da as it's more mechanically robust and balanced. so

DS2 > DaS > DS3

and so on, and so on.

Mass Effect. ME2 may have had the weakest overall plot but it was easily the most enjoyable overall.
