I think NSMBU is the only good NSMB really. The challenge mode is pretty great and actually hard as fuck at times and the level design is the best of any NSMB, especially when you get past the first two worlds, those are kinda typical but later ones are often gorgeous. They also brought in so many forgotten enemies too like Thwimps, it's hard to not like it.

I still don't like NSMB that much in general but U is definitely at least worth playing.

I don't really have time to find them all now, but off the top of my head there's the original Switch reveal ad that got people talking, the Pokken Deluxe reveal, and the multiplayer focused one they showed at E3. All of them put a big focus on the multiuse nature of the Switch, and especially on the multiplayer aspects with both ease and portability. The ads thus show a lot of adults carting it around, using it when they meet each other, party casual play, etc. It's all typical ad nonsense, of course. Are you really going to be encountering all these photogenic moments playing Pokken in Vietnam or where in SEA that guy was?

But the point was the ads took a turn away from the kind of shit the other anon was bitching about and towards portraying these games as something other people will be interested in and something that's not some kind of kiddy toy. Especially the E3 multiplayer ad. In fact, the Switch ads have been notable for their focus on adults from the beginning, with the Pokken ad itself relegating kids to one use of the split screen on a stalled transport and the kids using the 3DS while the adults use the Switch.

Kana-only is pain to read unless you are fluent in spoken Japanese which works mostly for native kids.
Furigana is much better at that point since it makes looking up kanji in the dictionary much easier.
