You haven't caught on to the scam yet? Some Western publisher gets a contract to localize a Jap game and they immediately smell money. What do they do? They request a certain allowance from the developer to hire VAs for English audio, and they take hundreds of thousands and some times millions of dollars to do a complete re-voice of the game under the guise of "saving money by not having to license the Jap voices in the West." They take this money and spend a fraction of it on literally who Western voice "actors" to deliver flat cringy dialogue for pennies (I honestly think they just grab random hobos, give them a helium tank to raise their voice and throw a microphone at them sometimes). They then embezzle the rest of the money, most of the time this works because Japs can't into gaijin speak so they have no idea about the difference in quality, however this seems to have broken down in the case of P5 where the English dub was SO bad that ATLUS ended up having to pay money to license the Jap voices anyway because the dub commissioned by ATLUS USA was unacceptable even by Jap standards.

It's not really a game so might as an empty "open world"(small city and loop around the island that consists of basically nothing) ontop of an ADV. The ADV part is okay though. But pure ADVs never review well in the west so it would get massacred in the reviews and people would complain.

Also while the ADV part is okay, there is a lot of text, and the cost effectiveness of translating a nip game usually comes down to how much text there is versus how many copies it will sell, which is why VNs are only done by a scant few companies.

Also on top of those issues, there's a bunch of stuff that would be awkward to translate, especially Naomi's route because a lot of interactions with her route are about how she doesn't know japanese(and is also a retard). Also a bunch of puns in yayoi's route would be a pain to do.

And also on top of that, there's a handful of things that would probably trigger tumblrinas and cause social media outrage.

And also on top of ALL of that it's also kinda buggy with regard to it's triggers(for instance, there's a late game quest that's actually impossible to complete unless you're following the chairman's route, but you can still trigger this quest in other routes).

That said Kaoruko is basically my favorite tsundere in the last few years and it did have some funny quests.
