Decent lootsim propped up by lore and a great soundtrack. What dragged it down was people expecting tactical elements, like the OG xbox games. It had already genre shifted before that mind so fussing about it not being true to roots was madness in my opinion, take it as it comes.

Community was excellent as well, should mention that. Just about anyone that bothered to play multi was happy to help, the mentality was infectious.

Weird but enjoyable game. Completely forgot about it until i saw this thread. The music was comfy as fuck. The laughing impaled monsters always scared the shit out of me

I believe it was a strategy game where you werw able to not just command your troops in the battlefield, but also take the role of one of the commanders, like a grand strategy/musou hybrid.
Never played it too much, so I might be wrong.

Was that the one with the heros in the big army's fighting? And a vampire with a saw like sword?

I played either Heroes or Crusader and it was the hardest shit ever.

Fucking amazing game though. The vampire chick had a radical moveset with her tendril hooks she could shoot out. Always had too much fun with her and forgot about the strategy aspect though.

Probably, OG xbawks KUF had both sides of a war (light/dark). Gameplay being tactical manoeuvring on isolated mission maps where clashing turned into Dynasty Warriors shenanigans

Only thing that comes close is Kessen only that had absolutely shite combat outside of abilities and spells

not far off, it was a linear strategy game with an action game component. managing your units in maps and their progression between them was really important because even if you control a hurricane of fuckyou on the field, this is a battle between armies and your unit's death is your own
