What does /v/ think about HTPCs?
I built a decent gaming PC for about a year ago (GTX 1060 i5 6600 16gb ram, the works). And after a while I figured out I could set it up as a pure gaming/entertainment/emulation setup, since it has a small footprint. I hooked it up to my TV and it's been great. I have 2 DS 4s and Xbone controllers, two Wiimote+nunchucks plus 2 SNES controllers for anyone who wants authenticity and a Steam Controller for myself. So I'm just curious since I know most PC people on /v/ are purists when it comes to the mustard race. Do you hate me for playing from my couch?

No but any regular person just uses an hdmi from their desktop
i still want to use my pc as a pc

Pretty much this, i just have a long hdmi from my pc to my tv but i tucked it through the drywall CAUSE I FUCKING CAN

Pretty much this. I used to use a Steam link but the quality went to shit in some games so nowadays I just run a HDMI cable across the floor when I want to play on my tv.
I wish I could be bothered setting it up as a media player, I still rely on my Xboner for Plex and Netflix.

I have my PC hooked up to the TV and bought a 2 in 1 wireless keyboard/mouse.
Nothing wrong with the set up since I can watch hulu/youtube/hbo etc on PC, watch downloaded stuff, listen to music with the soundbar. Also have a steam controller and play Jet Set Radio or emus.
There's no reason to be on a desk anymore.
What do you niggers do for inputs? Running a 50ft HDMI cable is no problem, but I need a way to get a USB hub in my living room.

Since I have my TV set-up in my living room and don't really want to put my desk next to it, then I don't like this idea. But this is what I used to do at my old apartment since I had a small living room and my desk and TV were in my room, I just had an HDMI hooked to my TV and switched it up whenever I wanted to play on it or had people over. Now since I basically cut the cord, it's my entire media center I still have a keyboard for whenever I need to tinker with it, but it's a basic living room setup.

I set all this up since I have a big family that visits a lot. That includes gamers, movie freaks and kids. So being able to turn on my PC straight to Steam and have a nice library of games (ROMs and legit PC games) plus opening Kodi and Spotify straight from there really helps a lot with simplicity, instead of having a console+blu ray+sound system. I just love how well this System works.
