Yes. The WiiU was fine. I'm finding more people have having problems with the Switch's wi-fi than the WiiU's. Maybe if you wanted to go toe-to-toe against Lagmaster Japs and you lived in Mid-West or EU then you'd need an adapter. The Switch problem seems to be pretty multi-regional.
