Its because melee combat is really hard to portray in an fps perspective. I suggest you check out Mordhau (MP) and Kingdom Come (SP) but those are both middle ages instead of bronze. Also check out Mount and Blade, not FPS and also middle ages, but there are ton of bronze age mods

There's probably some mods for mount and blade along those lines.
