The game was pretty great. In my experience though, it's only the older players that liked it. If you played the likes of FF1-9 when they were new, this game had a lot of that same magic of exploring something completely new but with the constant Final Fantasy reminders keeping you nostalgic.

It's only the kids who were introduced to older Final Fantasy titles from before they were born that fedora tip one another and talk about how bad this game was.

My entire problem with FFXV as it stands is that the second "half" of the game is rushed as fuck. If Altissa and The World of Ruin get some more content than a handful of sidequests, I feel like the game will be a lot more balanced and fun.

I don't want to fight Adamantoise as a post-game fight. I want to kick that fucking mountain's ass BEFORE I go kick Ardyn's ass while a thousand giants stare at me from below, while the guys who've been my bros for years watch my back and keep them at bay.

The first half of the game was fucking amazing. If there's a few sidequests to take back the dark and restore some elements of artificial light to the world before you go to Insomnia to finish the fight in the World of Ruin, it'd be about a million times better.

As it stands, it just feals unfinished. Like if you woke up from the crash of the floating continent in FFVI and the only thing you had to do was get in an airship and fly a full party to Kefka's tower.

FFXV would be a 10/10 game for me if they added maybe 5-10 hours of content into the World of Ruin, fixed that stupid horror chapter, and gave me a little more resolution to the plot after the time skip. More before would be better, but a single night's stay and then a fucking roadtrip was stupid as hell.

I don't see how Cidney/Iris/Aranea having a proto-fetus in them would have significant;y impacted that. Plus, it could have been Notc's final "Fuck You" to Ardyn, who WANTED the line to end. If that's what you want, anon...I felt like their stories were complete, at least Ardyn's was and Regis's mostly was. Maybe a sequel that has some more info on them for you.

I mean really, more than anything, I want to see what happened during those 10 years and what happened after Noctis died, including when or if they retrieved his body and the presumed feels that'd come with that. some more Iggy + Prompto interactions would be nice, along with Gladdy getting some proper development.

I disagree. TLOU's sequel looks amazing, there's tons of sequels that already exist that are great, like KH2. If they handle it well and don't released unfinished, buggy, awkward hot garbage then it'd be great.

I was talking about within the context of Final Fantasy, these games have always given solid closure to the stories they tell. Everything regarding VII, X-2 and The After Years are more than enough to know that the idea of a XV-2 is bad, really bad especially when you considering the level of storytelling present in the base game.

And I feel like there was closure, but still so much to expand upon, that could be expanded upon. And you know the fujos would eat that shit up, having a slice of life XV sequel that's as homo as you can get. And as depressing as possible. Maybe in the sequel, the other Chocobros die. Or at least Prompto dies because according to Tabata or the director or who the fuck ever, they doubt Prompto will "live long enough to even see Verstael's age in the distance". Considering he's a clone of Verstael, and clones come with all kinds of fucked up shit, and he was made to be disposable in the first place, I wouldn't doubt if he started losing his mind in his early 30s and killed over by the time he was 40. I wanna see THAT story.
