With Mario Kart 8 Deluxe being a rehash of a Wii U game, Nintendo should make a brand new kart racing game for Switch's own. But launching two MK games for the same system could be taken as repetitive and make the developers to look like out of ideas.

So, this is when Super Smash Kart takes place, starring racers from many Nintendo series as well as many tracks inspired on levels/scenarios from their games. You know, like Sonic & All Stars Racing, but made by the big N.

they dont want two kart games with similar gameplay/premise competing with each other. The best your gonna get is future MKs including other Nintendo characters like 8 did

I remember wanting that as a kid long ago, but now after seeing MK8's roster in comparison to Wii's... No.
At best just more DK characters.

But Nintendo consoles only ever get 1 Mario Kart each, and Switch gas already gotten it's one.

So you're saying Nintendo isn't gonna make any more Kart racers for the next 7+ years? When it's consistently in their top 5 best selling games each gen?

It already is a thing when you've got characters from Zelda, Animal Crossing and Splatoon in the game.

The next MK will probably go all-out with this stuff.

They could just make the next Mario Kart 'Smash Kart' and then continue on the series regularly for the Switch's successor.

I was so disappointed when MK8 didn't have Captain Falcon as a playable character or Samus Aran and a Metroid course.
