Release date or I'm dropping. I was a massive fan of kingdom hearts up until 2012. Haven't even bought 2.8 even though I was excited as shit for BBS2. I literally pulled an all nighter waiting for the BBS FM iso to leak online and speedrun it to play the secret episode.

I can't wait any longer. I'm utterly anally ravaged by how ff15 turned out with the amount of potential, poor management and amount of cut content. No matter how great the new trailer is I simply won't care without a release date.

Just because we aren't getting the whole game spoiled for us like a GameFreak marketing campaign doesn't mean something's gone wrong.

The ONLY major hiccup in the entire development process so far has been changing engines from Luminous to UE4.
And UE4 has only made development smoother. Everything is on schedule and Nomura even said in an interview last year that they already had an internal release window pegged.

They know what they're doing. The game is working. 0.2 is proof enough of that.
They know when they'll have the game ready to ship.

It was clear they were going to have weapon transformations be the drive form replacement, they just slapped a cosmetic change onto the transformation now to appease people who wanted the colored clothing. Look back to older trailers before drive forms were confirmed, Sora would use the Hercules keyblade without transforming. It would also explain why the new drive form designs look so minimal in design compared to KH2 drive forms.

Would love it but I don't think its happening... Unless its sort of a Tron world and they remove all references to other IPs, so no cameos or anything.

Sugar Rush + Ralph's game would probably make a hell of a KH world though and it could probably be done with the original characters from the movie only, but they probably would have to cut the Space Marine game because having characters shoot semi-realistic guns in KH is probably no good.

They could still replace the bugs with heartless like in the 1000 heartless battle in 2 but it would still be a bit jarring to see them go down under machinegun fire.

You are right there, but old-timey guns barely look like anything similar a modern soldier would use. Comparatively, the semi-futuristic guns in Wreck it Ralph look much more real, specially since they are based on different real-life models.

Old-timey guns or absolutely unrealistic laser guns like in Lilo & Stich are ok because they are pop culture items no ine would associate with actually getting shot in the face with.

In the end, they'll probably have to alter the guns or omit them completely... if not that whole section of the movie.
