Yuki's hyper is a throwaway which itself is a pretty good strength. You can reasonably use it anytime (aside from full HP) and not be too perturbed by the results so long as you're not missing out on actually bullying someone in front of you.
She's still got the best bullying stats with the only comparisons being Tomomo, Kyousuke with hyper, Nath with max stacks, and Alte with 2+ stacks.

She has +2 Attack and no meaningful disadvantages beyond her defensive stats. She's easily the most straightforward character with that stat attribute, and she's by far the easiest such character to obtain.
Marc is better than almost everyone but Yuki is pretty straightforward too, her only real learning curve is understanding that suicide sometimes is the answer.

Unless they actually start to include FRB characters, you have at most 4 character pack cycles before Tsih is in the game. The pattern they follow is that no set of characters is from the same game series. The only exception was Kyoko and Alte, but even then they were from different entries in the series kinda like how QPS and XMS are separated for the most part.
The Suguri series has only 4 combatant characters left: Iru, Tsih, Mira, and Sumika. Shifu isn't shit without his robot (looks identical to NoName anyway) and Yukihito isn't a combatant.
QP series has 6 combatant characters left: Mei, Natsumi, Yuuki, Nico, Arthur, Chris. Kyupita hasn't appeared in any canon game but I guess he has a chance of existing too, so that bumps it up to a tentative 7.
They're going to run out of characters unless they starting repping FRB or Junpyon goes beyond hell to finish Alicianrone.

Yuki's -1 defense is a huge detriment. One of the biggest reasons why it's an issue is because when a player passes you, they can decide to attack you because they would rather get the first strike in rather than let you hit them first, and good players will definitely know when to do this even when playing characters who are bad at attacking. Yuki and Tomomo have a much higher chance of just straight up dying if they get attacked first compared to Starbreaker or Store Manager.

An even bigger problem is how this sort of thing limits deck creation, especially for Yuki. If you put in offensive cards to try and help kill other players, these can and probably will be used against you to murder you, even Marie Poppo can kill you with something like big magnum. If you run defensive cards to not die as easily, then you'll have a harder time killing people, since they'll have more defensive cards to prevent their death. This means you either need to awkwardly force a gameplan on yourself from the moment you make your deck, or run a weird mixed deck and hope you get lucky, or just end up running junky cards that won't help you much, but won't screw you over at least. Starbreaker does not have those problems at all and has a lot more freedom in choosing cards, unless if you were thinking of running stuff like Holy night or nice jingle on Yuki or some bizarre reason.

Switching between stars and wins norma is pretty rare outside of the 2nd norma and maybe the 3rd. If you want a character who switches between offense and defense pick someone like Marc, Sherry, Kyouske or Syura instead.

Star Breaker and Manager are a lot more combat-oriented than Yuki, so they'd obviously have higher defence, but it comes at the cost of not getting stars from bonus panels and being unable to use cards (Manager), or being unable to win or even progress by just collecting stars at all (Star Breaker). Yuki and Tomomo are more versatile in that regard because if their bullying does not succeed or they're simply in a bad position to do that they can just gather stars passively and win just with that. I've had games as Yuki where I won without ever attacking anyone despite there being a Starbo and an Aru on the field.

Same with cards. Sure, if you pack the deck with attack cards they can backfire, but if you pack it with defence or healing cards and play passively, they can't use them against you. Then again I also put RAF and Shield Counter because no one expects me to keep them, let alone use them if they attack me, and meme cards like Scrambled Meme and PotG.

Starbreaker is actually a very difficult character to play well as (Skill in OJ, I know right?). Playing Starbreaker well is not actually about trying to earn 14 wins as soon as possible, it's actually about trying to slow everyone down so eventually you'll win off of battle spaces (And possibly wins off of players/the boss if you can). One of the biggest reasons why Starbreaker is the best character in Battlefield by far isn't just because it's easier for her to farm wins, but it slows every one else down and her hyper bombs on battle spaces are ridiculously good at slowing down characters you normally have trouble with, like Fernet or Kyoko. A really good Starbreaker player will know when to give up what looks like an easy chance to gain wins in order to prevent the game from getting closer to finishing, like by ignoring an easy target because it's more important to intercept a player from reaching their home in the next few turns. If you just think of Starbreaker as a character meant to try and kill everyone she meets she's not that interesting, but if you play her with the idea of slowing down the game she not only becomes better but a lot more interesting to play as.

My main issue with starbo is that she's no fun allowed like kyoko, but in a different way. Instead of slowing down the game by being FUCKING INVINCIBLE, she slows everyone down by constantly fucking them over and making the experience painful and miserable for everyone. And yeah, I guess you can say that this is the whole point of a game, but I find there's a lot more fun in fucking over a single person and denying them winning with a single good roll rather than actively making the game as unfun as possible for everyone else.

Not that I have a lot of difficulties with Starbo, mind, I just don't like playing against her the same way I don't like playing against Kyoko. Though at least with Starbo there's the possibility of her mischief backfiring on her.

Kyoko isn't about slowing the game down though, she's the opposite, you want to rush normas as fast as possible and win the game as soon as you can. The sooner you can get more normas the more stars you get, the more healing cards you get access too, the sooner the boss comes to fuck everyone up (But you can basically consider a "Take 1 damage space") and the sooner you win the less likely you'll lose stars from dying/Marie Poppo.

It does seem kind of strange because you think being aggressive would mean being fast and being defensive would mean being slow paced, but since it's much easier to collect stars than wins, and actually possible to lose stars while wins are something you can never lose, Star breaker is slow while Kyoko/Fernet are about being as fast as possible.

Also trust me, really good starbreaker play is hype as hell to watch, because you have to make so many non-intuitive decisions and weigh a lot of decisions. Kyoko/Fernet game play is flowchart to the extreme.

It's slower on purpose. Instead of everyone have 1 speed, characters are divided into "tiers" and have different move and dash speeds. Suguri is quick and has fast attacks while Starbo is considered an "artillery"esque character and is slow, but it's offset by the latter having powerful moves.
The bullet meters are there to prevent spam, but it slows the game down since you have to now manage it so you don't stop shooting.
I feel it's still better than AoS1 though. Unless you mained Hime.

Cause she's the Ryu of the game so she's more balanced. She can cancel a lot of her moves really quick though and has a lot of cancel options.
A lot of the more "rush down" characters like Kae are pretty fast, but in general the pace is slower overall. It feels a lot more smoother though.
