Eh most of this talk is purely subjective, but I still think IX is better, but you have your opinion and I have mine, thats cool, I think Vivi, Steiner, Zidane and Dagger are great characters who are far better than VII characters and Freya, Amarant and Quina, specially Quina are simple characters who serve the purpose of helping out with the games themes and conveying a message, each character represents somethin/some trait or idea and they get explored through the character, due to budget problems and such Freya and Amarant didnt get much development, Quina however was really well done if you take into consideration what she represents.
