I want to replay CT.
Songs don't sound as good but its better overall
DS is the definitive version.
The added content is mediocre but the game doesn't need added content. The re-translation fixes the retarded campiness of the SNES version that was never intended to be in the game.

I wouldn't know

This. It's the best version to play.

>retarded campiness
Please, anime-inspired works are best served with a side of camp. There is nothing worse than an insane anime plot like Chrono Trigger trying to take itself seriously.
It is basically the PSX version without the loading screens. Then a pointless fetch quest added to the end. This isn't to say it is bad. It has everything the original SNES version has, just a little more added on. And while the added fetch quest is very annoying, it gives Marle an upgraded weapon making her even more powerful than everyone else save Chrono and Ayla. The complaint before was she was too weak (which is stupid since you can beat the game with any team but whatever).
Emulate the DS version and speed up the slow parts. That's how I got through my replay of it
Thanks for the replies!

I only play the SNES version because Low-level Runs are agony
Also I don't know if they made any tiny tiny changes that might've made some LL strats impossible and I'm not about to pour work into the DS version just to find out that I can't dodge a certain encounter
Yes, I only ever do LL runs of CT, but they're amusing to me - Level 1 Crono with 4 EXP fighting Lavos yo
It's the better version, but I will always prefer playing the original due to better visuals and I just prefer the translation.
