Guys please recommend me a super immersive game I can get stuck into and forget about real life for a day or two, ive just gotten bored of my bi annual 300 mod skyrim playthrough and I need something I can submerge myself into.
Preferably an RPG or atleast RPG lite with character creation.
pls guys I want to escape from real life
mountain blade
Don't use escapism as a crutch

None of these fit your genre criteria, but they're my favorite games, so fuck you.
Homeworld - The best crafted RTS single player campaign ever, period. The sketched cutscenes, the dramatic orchestral music, the epic trans-galactic story. This game is fucking amazing, and the remaster is pretty good too.
Grim Fandago - The puzzles are pretty annoying sometimes, but the world is so witty, unique, and detailed that it doesn't matter. Few games, if any, do mood as well as this game. A simple screenshot can still evoke emotions from me to this day. If you get stuck on a puzzle for more than half an hour or so, do yourself a favor and look it up. It's not worth the frustration.
Deus Ex - Probably not much I can say about this game that hasn't already been said. It's a /v/ darling for a reason.

journey or abzu
Black Desert has fun and pretty immersive leveling. The world is great.

Its just abit too outdated for me, having only played Gothic 3 years ago I dont really get any nostalgia from it either.

Ive played this and Im waiting for a full release to play through it properly

Is journey really good? It looked abit boring at first glance

Black Desert is garbage and was the nail in the coffin for my love of MMOs

journey is pretty short but a very immersive and worthwhile experience

You should give it another try, playing G1+2 blind was the best gaming experience of my life!
Other then that, it's not really the kind of immersion you get with a Gothic but I love Kerbal Space Program, I learned allot about spacetravel by playing it and am completely in the matter when doing it
Space Engine is great if you spend time to set up correct render settings and then play some ambient music on headphones, read about space related news or even some literature and explore space and forget your own simple and often miserable existence. It's not a game but offers great experiences now and then. Go find more information about it.
