The balls in the special stages came in two colors, red and HYPER-REALISTIC red ones that looked like they were coated in BLOOD. Also, every Emerald that I got was black and they glowed with a red aura. As oppose to every zone I've been to at this point, Ice Cap was completely normal and didn't have anything altered in it, outside of the clear lack of a snowboard. Guys, I managed to get Dark Soul II on PC early from Russian Limewire...only I think the game is playing me.

I was fighting a boss that uses slow, heavy damaging attacks and then dodging them when I started to hear some strange sounds.

Before I could dodge roll from its choreographed attack, I glitched out and fell through the floor into an exact 3d recreation of City Escape with bad lighting effects. Sonic gave me a bunch of items that did a poor job of explaining the plot so I've had to fill in the missing pieces, but I think my copy of the games files has been altered...

I managed to walk forward and collect a few rings before my toon turned to face the screen and ran towards me pretty fast. I alt+f4'd right out before he she got too close...

Okay, so a skinwalker steals your dog's skin, now what? Maybe the dog is still alive out there while being impersonated, and the monster is trying to call it, sure that's creepy. If it can audio-playback the whistle sound perfectly, why cant it do the same with calling the name? Why does he have to "oh-long-johnson" the sound "Sandy!" but not the sound of a whistle?
And then the mc just bails. The monster throws a deer head at the dude's car, follows him home. Credits roll. That's it? No epic final battle? Not even an epic final escape? Weak. What is this story even trying to say? The most tense part was by far the point at which the fake dog was inside, but all that buildup fell through when he left the cabin and the story just kind of ended there. 5/10

The dog is dead. Those animals the guy found all stripped of their skins, that dog is probably out there in the woods somewhere in that same state. Why wouldn't he be?

The creature wasn't calling for the dog. He was copying what he heard the guy doing before the dog ran off. He couldn't quite get the voice right, though. That's a common thing with skin walkers. They can take forms and voices of other things but not always perfectly. Plus, the creature's voice is supposed to be "ungodly" sounding. The creature couldn't even get the dog's body right. Notice how off the dog looked? The guy said his joints looked dislocated, he swayed unnaturally, and he looked longer each day. The guy finally realized that wasn't his dog and took off because that's all he could do.

[spoilerI thought the ending was fine. It's a pretty hopeless one. He won't be able to escape from it.

Everymanhybrid is good for how absolutely fucking insane it gets and it has the best world building of any slendy series but the acting can be really bad at times and the main antagonist later on is a love or hate kinda character. if it could get the whistle right, why couldn't it get the voice right? I know that's a common thing, but that doesn't mean it's good. In my experience with the fictional creature, some authors give it birdlike speech mimicry on par with audiorecording devices, hence the whistle, or they give it human-tier articulation of the mouth and phonemes, without the proper human mouth shape, resulting in the ungodly sounding voice, described by some as like when a cat talks like in that old "oh long johnson" video, which is what happened when it tried to mimic the guy saying "Sandy". My question is: Why Mix-n-Match?

The ending IMO is not, "hopeless", it's incomplete. Like, what? MDWL43D part two: "one day a man popped out to go down to the chemist and was mauled by a very long weird dog. animal control was involved, the animal was put down, the service is being held this saturday." It doesn't bring closure, it doesn't say "while i escaped with my life, there are things in the woods we do not know abot.......", it says, "then the monster followed me home, looking for me. the end."

I can't answer about the whistle. The narrator didn't think to use a whistle that didn't sound right or the writer didn't specify that the whistle off like the voice.

About the dog getting longer each day, I think the creature's disguise was starting to slip or he was wanting to scare the guy. Also, he didn't keep Sandy's form after the man left.
