I doubt Rocksteady is still working on Batman. They said they were moving onto something new after Knight (although they then announced Arkham VR).

BAMHam will be continued by WB Montreal and they'll probably just focus on the time period between Origins and Asylum. A lot happens in that time. Barbara Gordon's entire career as BatGirl starts and ends within that time.

Shadow of War won't even let you do that. I don't get it. As someone who plays on the highest setting, I get bitter as fuck when the developer doesn't give me a punishing difficulty. It can't take that much effort. How the fuck do you play Shadow of Mordor and come to the conclusion that it's challenging enough? The developers must be fucking retarded. I think focusing on his powerset and trying to make him balanced around combat is the wrong approach while making a Superman game. Instead you should get all his abilities and it be focused on the dilemma of trying to save as many people as possible and situations where you have to decide if one group is worth saving over another. Have it so you have to balance Superman's happiness and the public's reception of you that way you're forced to pick between saving a public figure everyone loves who could be an asshole or someone Superman loves they don't even know about and if you their perception gets low enough Lex comes in trying to convince them Superman is evil and if your happiness is too low then Superman starts performing worse than usual because he lost a ton of his morale.

I picked it up in the summer sale a couple weeks ago and all that DLC was so shit. Even the Batgirl story DLC was 45 minutes tops.
I got the Origins pass too cos I already had the base game and at least Cold Cold Heart was fairly decent.

Turning the indicator off is fine in Asylum when only one enemy can hit you at a time, but in the other games where two or more can swing at you it becomes a real clusterfuck without the indicators, especially during fights like Mad Hatter in City.

Yes, the city is destructable. Add a reputation system to deter wanton destruction or the people of Metropolis will fear/hate you. Generally I want a Silver Age game in which you can be a beacon of hope or engage in Superdickery.

I think with Shadows WB took control over a lot of decisions. Monolith used to be a really amazing studio until they merged with WB, Condemned was their final good game which coincidentally was the very first game to be released under that merger however was also in development long before it happened. I refuse to believe the company responsible for Blood, Shogo, No One Lives Forever, and FEAR are entirely responsible for all the turds they've been shitting out it's just too soul crushing for me.

This game had some good ideas. If it didn't have to be rushed to tie-in to the movie it could have been great. It gives me hope that Rocksteady could do something amazing without having to worry about meeting a deadline.

Giving the city a health bar instead of Superman was a good idea

Letting us play as Bizarro to live out our destruction fantasies without tarnishing Superman's character was a good idea

The controls were serviceable and you had access to all of Superman's powers all of the time (with the exception of not being able to use multiple "projectile" powers simultaneously)
