All the stills look like those fan images people make when they're learning photoshop so they take some game assets, add some dynamic shit and filters, and post it as a wallpaper on deviantart.

I like individual parts of the concept art, might be cool but nothing to get excited about yet.

Just look at FFVII remake. They're completely dropping the old battle system which was one of the main components of the game, so I don't even see the point in remaking it, but normies are loving it. The remake does have atb for magic and equipment. And limit breaks are still in . And it will retain party of 3.

But FF7 remake has no turn based gameplay, no random encounters, but you can freely attack with the sword or etc all the time. Partys are Ai but you can now switch characters.

They're also trying to boost equipment to job levels. I noticed FF7 might not have leveling up in screen shots.

It's close to Mana IMO. That's what mainline final fantasies are becoming too.

The actual turn based with atb is only allowed on portables and tables and smart phones these days.

Also any remake they suggested will be the same. They hinted at remaking 1,2,5,6,8,9

They are remaking it because the older fans who played the games want to see the games in HD (maybe with a little blemish or some more skill variety/different systems to the old battle system, new content, etc.), not because of people who never played them.
