it's a base management simulation where the "difficulty" comes from randomly taking away resources if you're doing too good at the moment.

You can spend hours gathering up resources for a big push into the next stage, only to lose 1/2 of it cause the AI randomly decided that you stored too much ammo.

Gameplay is barebones, zero strategy, and the survival aspect of the game is a joke.

Government experimenting with other dimensions and shit. Its lore is complete mess anyway, so it shouldn't be played for that. You can turn off monster/robot enemies and play just with zombies if you wish. The gameplay is solid and that's what matters.

It's flawed and runs terrible at times but if anything the gameplay is insanely fun if you enjoy the setting.
