I did this with NFS Underground because as a kid I just didn't have the skill to beat the final race no matter how hard I tried, and it got me so upset and frustrated I just dropped it.

Then literally like a decade later I picked it up again and beat it on like the second try. I felt nothing.

I couldn't finish everyone's social links so decided to get the "good" ending and then complete it with new game+.
New game+ is incredibly boring though.

Sometimes, I think I like being hyped about games more than I actually like playing t hem

I was pretty far in DQVIII at some snow town then stopped it to play FFXII then I got to the final dungeon then never beat it (I think that's when I became a WoWfag). For some reason I did it with KH2 but I thought I beat it and did in the end. Not surprisingly I tried DQVII too but stopped playing just before I unlocked the job system because of other games. Maybe I'll get the FFXII HD and try again, I'd do the same with DQVIII but I'm not wasting money on the 3ds version when it clearly deserved a decent HD release baka square.

Just last night, I decided to drop Lost Planet: Extreme Condition at the final boss. There are a billion fucking games out there, and I even own a bunch of games that I haven't played yet, so I'm not going to waste any more time getting pissed off at that fucking bullshit final boss. I'm going to play something else.

Back when I was 10 years old and only owned a dozen video games and knew I wouldn't get another until Christmas, I would power through any awful game because there was nothing else. But now that I have literally hundreds of games on Steam, I usually stop playing a game as soon as it stops being fun.

As many things FFXIII fucked up I did like how after beating the game you could just head back to Pulse and do sidequests. You even had a final crystarium level just for postgame.

Deus EX MD for me. Got to the final boss and died once cause I didn't know wtf was going on. Just kinda dropped it after that, didn't really care enough to see the end.

I honestly can't stand playing Hollow Knight any more. I think it's a good game, but 15 of those hours were just wasting my god damn time with excessive backtracking through the same area just to talk to some faggot or do one little thing. I can't complete that arena because it takes 15 minutes just to get to a part where I die again. So fuck it, stuck at 99% until I have the motivation to try again.
