Deus Ex has loads of problems.
Like it's skill progression system, complete lack of difficulty/challenge and how linear it becomes in the mid game despite the great early stages.
Also the story is shit.

Not to mention that graphics wise, it was nothing special, even for it's time. Visually, the game has aged like milk.

This.
Also the voice acting is fucking atrocious.
Tell me, what kind of amateur sticks a bunch of ceiling fans around an underground bunker thinking that makes any sense?
If Denton farts in his office will the scent carry down to Level 3?

please explain to me why you can't have ceiling fans in an underground bunker
Revision was all about rebuilding the maps from scratch with an extra level of detail right? That'd be great if the people designing them applied had the knowledge to apply some real world logic. This is why an architecture and construction background is a preferred trait among level designers.

I'll get to that but first let me write up an explanation for why having 2-5 fans a foot or two from each other in the same room is a total waste.
I could be shooting myself in the foot here though because in the context of Deus Ex, it's a fitting allegory for government waste.
Maybe it was intentional idk
